NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Supervisors of Willistown Township, at its regularly scheduled public meeting at 7:00PM, Monday, February 10, 2025, in the Township Building located at 688 Sugartown Rd, Malvern, will consider adoption of an Ordinance titled AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 87 OF THE WILLISTOWN TOWNSHIP CODE, BEING GARBAGE, RUBBISH AND REFUSE ORDINANCE CHANGING THE HAULER LICENSE REQUIREMENT TO A YEARLY REGISTRATION, UPDATING THE DEFINITIONS, AND ESTABLISHING MONTHLY YARD WASTE COLLECTION summarized as follows:
Section 1 amends Section 87-2(A)(1) to amend the word “licensed” to “registered”; Section 2 amends Section 87-7 replacing references to a “licensed collector” with “registered collector”; Section 3 amends Section 87-11, “Definitions”, to amend the definitions of “Chester County Waste Management Plan” and “Municipal Waste Collector”; Section 4 amends Section 87-12 to replace references to “license” with “registration”; Section 5 amends 87-13 to replace references to “license” to “registration”; Section 6 amends Section 87-14 modifying language concerning collection of recyclable materials and leaf waste; Section 7 amends Section 87-15 replacing the word “license” with “registration”; Section 8 amends Section 87-16 eliminating and replacing requirements and references concerning a “license” with “registration”; Section 9 amends Section 87-17 to replace references to a “license” with “registration’; Section 10 deletes section 87-18 Section 11 amends Section 87-22 to amend the definition of “Licensed Municipal Waste Collector”; Section 12 amends Section 87-23 to amend the word “licensed” to registered”; Section 13 amends Section 87-24.B modifying language requiring leaf waste separation and governing removal of leaf waste; Section 14 amends Section 87-25 to amend language concerning commercial recycling requirements; Section 15 amends Section 87-27 to replace the word “licensed” with “registered”; Section 16 amends Section 87-28 to replace the word “licensed” with “registered”; Section 17 amends Section 87-33 to amend the definition of “Hauler or Private Collector”; Sections 18 and 19 address effective date and repeal provisions of the ordinance.
