Willistown Township is looking for a Receptionist and Outreach Coordinator to join our administrative team.
The position is responsible for greeting and providing superior customer service and guidance to visitors; receiving, processing, and distributing all incoming written communications; assisting with administration of the permitting process; assisting in the compliance with applicable records management and records retention laws; assisting with financial and other administrative duties as may be assigned from time-to-time; informing and engaging community members through frequent and thoughtful communication via all Township media resources. This position will also assist the Township Manager in responding to requests for service in a timely fashion.
Applicants must have excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to perform general administrative procedures, including considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook software programs for word processing, spreadsheet and electronic mail functions. Demonstrated experience using social media is required. Prior experience as a receptionist or customer service representative, preferably in Pennsylvania municipal government, is preferred. An associate’s degree or some coursework towards a bachelor’s degree is preferred. This position requires the ability to maintain effective working relationships with superiors, associates, coworkers, professional groups, officials of other agencies, elected officials, attorneys and the general public.
